BelAir100SX Strand Mounted Dual Mode Wireless Node
Another industry first for BelAir Networks, the BelAir100SX dual mode wireless node leverages the company’s modular architecture to combine the functions of a mobile WiMAX 802.16e base station, a Wi-Fi access point, and a DOCSISÒ cable modem in one compact, ruggedized product that integrates with existing cable infrastructure for mounting, power and backhaul. The BelAir100SX can be mounted on aerial strand or in pedestals, cabinets or vaults.
The BelAir100SX node's micro-cellular deployment approach provides better coverage, bandwidth and spectrum utilization than traditional macro-cellular tower and rooftop deployments. It also eliminates many of the time-consuming and costly issues associated with site acquisition and backhaul provisioning.
Driven by the BelAirOS operating system and BelView network management used throughout the company’s award-winning portfolio, the BelAir100SX also supports seamless integration with the cable operator’s back office infrastructure to facilitate service provisioning and bundling, ease deployment and operation, and reduce network commissioning and upgrade costs.
